Hold down the left mouse button in the view and drag the mouse (while holding down the left mouse button) to pan the view.
The pan feature allows a view to be "moved" within the window such that areas beyond the original edges of the view can be displayed.

The command or toolbar button must be clicked every time the Pan feature is used.
Note: Use the middle mouse button as a short cut to Pan the active view. Depress the middle mouse button and move the mouse in the active window to Pan the view.
Restore the view displayed immediately before the Pan command or button was used by clicking the View menu > Restore Full View command or Restore Full View button,
