Click the Options menu > Request Module License command to enable the features offered when a license has been purchased that includes modeling of offshore structures and bridges, or modeling the effects of the various construction stages on a structure.
Offshore. When the Options menu > Request Module License> Offshore command is clicked, SAP2000 searches for the offshore license. After the license has been found, SAP2000 enables the commands needed to specify wave loading, including overwrites, and the parameters needed to complete wave load analysis can be specified.
Bridge Modeler. When a checkmark precedes this option, the commands on the Bridge menu are enabled. The commands on that menu can be used to specify the parameters needed to complete bridge design, including layout lines, abutments, bridge column supports, bridge deck sections, bents, diaphragms, hinges, parametric variations, and bridge objects. In addition, this license is required if lanes are being defined from layout lines rather than frame objects. This license also provides access to the Bridge Wizard.
Staged Construction. When a checkmark precedes this option, the Nonlinear Static Staged Construction Analysis option is enabled. Use the option to complete staged (incremental or segmental) construction analysis.
If a license is not found, SAP2000 will display an error message box indicating that the license has not been found. Contact CSI Technical Support for information and assistance in getting the additional license(s).
Note: A
model file
must be open for the Options menu to be active. Thus, to access the Options
menu and enable any of the licenses, click the File
menu > New Model command to display the New
Model form. Click any of the template buttons, except the Bridge Wizard button, to display the associated template
form; use the form to start a model. Then click the Options
menu > Request Module License command and select the appropriate
license.
In the case of the Bridge Wizard, clicking
the File menu > New Model command and then
the Blank button will display a blank screen.
After using the Options menu > Request Module License
command to enable the Bridge Modeler license, the Bridge
menu > Bridge Wizard command can be used to access the Bridge Wizard and begin building the bridge model.
