Preferences are basic settings that control dimensions/tolerances, rebar sizes, and design parameters. Default values are provided for all preference items. Thus, changes to the preferences are not required; however, please review the preferences using the following commands to ensure that they are appropriate. The forms that display when these commands are used also allow changes to individual preference items. The following hyperlinks jump to the Help topics for those forms.
Options menu > Preference > Dimensions/Tolerances command displays the Dimensions/Tolerance Preferences form; use the form to specify items such as merge tolerances, fine grid spacing, the distance objects can be nudged, snap tolerance, line thicknesses for on-screen display and printed output, font minimum and maximum sizes, and the like.
Options menu > Preferences > Reinforcement Bar Sizes command displays the Reinforcing Bar Sizes form; use the form to specify rebar sizes (ASTM standard and metric sizes and European metric bar sizes) and rebar diameter.
Options menu > Preferences > Aluminum Frame Design command displays the Aluminum Frame Design Preferences for {Code} form; use the form to specify various design parameters, including the design code.
Options menu > Preferences > Concrete Frame Design command displays the Concrete Frame Design Preferences for {Code} form; use the form to specify various design parameters, including the design code.
Options menu > Preferences > Steel Frame Design command displays the Steel Frame Design Preferences for {Code} form; use the form to specify various design parameters, including the design code.
Options menu > Preference > Cold-Formed Steel Frame Design command displays the Cold-Formed Steel Frame Design Preferences for {Code} form; use the form to specify various design parameters, including the design code.
