Use the File menu >Export > SASSI command to export SAP2000 model data in file formats suitable for use by SASSI2000 (System for Analysis of Soil-Structure Interaction), a package of interrelated computer programs that can be used to solve a wide range of dynamic soil-structure interaction problems in two or three dimensions.

Note:  The SASSI license must be enabled before using this command.

  1. Click the File menu > Export > SASSI command to display the SASSI form.

  2. SAP2000 will suggest default paths and filenames for the data to be exported in  the display/edit boxes (i.e., Site File Name, Point File Name, House File Name, Motor File Name, Analys File Name, Combin File Name, Motion File Name, Stress File Name). These data will be associated with the active model.

  3. Check the check box associated with the data type to specify that SASSI use that data in its problem solving (i.e, Run Site, Run Point, Run House, Run Motor and so forth).

  4. Use the Dimension of Analysis drop-down list to specify the type of output to be provided by SASSI2000:  2-D Plane Strain or General 3D.

  5. Use the Location of SASSI Programs edit box to select the SASSI2000 program to be used with the selected data.

  6. Click the Run SASSI button to activate the SASSI2000 program.

Note: The results of the SASSI2000 problem solving can then be imported into SAP2000 using the File menu > Import > Show SASSI Results command.
