Click the View menu > Show Grids command to turn the grids on.
Use the View menu > Set 2-D View command to set the active window to select the plane in which the secondary beam is to be added.
Click on the Quick Draw Secondary Beams button 
or
use the Draw menu > Quick Draw Secondary Beams
command. Select
the Section, Moment
Releases, Spacing, Number of Beams and the Approximate
Orientation from the Properties of Object
form.
Click in a grid space bounded by 4 grid lines, to draw quick secondary beams.
Press the ESC key
or the Set Select Mode button 
to exit the Draw mode and enable the Select mode.
