Plot Functions Form

Additional form:  Modify Multiple Plot Functions

Use the Plot Functions form to add, modify, or delete plot functions.

• Plot Functions display list. All previously defined plot functions will be displayed in this list.

• Choose Function Type to Add drop-down list. The following list identifies the possible function types. Depending on what has been defined in the model, some of those items may not be available.

• Add Joint Disps/Forces

• Add Shell Forces/Stresses

• Add Plot Function button

1. In the Choose Function Type to Add area of the form, select the function type to be added.

2. Click the Add Plot Function button to display a form specific to the type of function chosen.

• Modify/Show Plot Function button

1. Highlight the name of a previously defined plot function in the Plot Functions display list.

2. Click the Modify/Show Plot Function button to display the form specific to the type of function chosen.

• Modify Multiple Plot Functions button  

1. Select multiple plot functions of the same type (e.g., joint, frame, etc.) in the Plot Functions display list.

2. Click the Modify Multiple Plot Functions button to display the Modify Multiple Plot Functions form. This button is only available when multiple functions of the same type have been defined in the model. The Modify Multiple Plot Functions form has the following areas:

• Function Type drop-down list. This drop-down list displays the types of plot functions for which multiple functions of the same type have been defined in the model.

• List of Plot Functions display area. This list includes all the  functions of the type specified in the Function Type drop-down list.

• Functions to be Modified display area. This list includes all of the functions to be modified.

1. Select the function(s) to be modified and click the appropriate button:

• Add button. When this button is clicked, the selected functions will be moved from the List of Plot Functions display list and added to the Functions to be Modified display list. As indicated above, if a plot function is included in this list when the OK button is clicked, that function will be modified.

• Remove button. When this button is clicked, the selected function(s) will be moved from the Functions to be Modified display list into the List of Plot Functions display list. In that case, if a plot function has been removed from the Functions to be Modified display list, that function will not be modified when the OK button is clicked.

• Show button. When this button is clicked, the plot function definition is displayed. When changes are made to the definition, those changes will affect all functions of the selected type simultaneously.

• Delete Plot Functions button

1. Highlight the name of a previously defined plot function in the Plot Functions display list.

2. Click the Delete Plot Functions button.
