The Design menu > Steel Frame Design > Start API Punching Load Check command starts the punching load check.
Run a punching load check as follows:
Note: The Design menu > Steel Frame Design > Start API Punching Load Check command is available only when the steel design code is set to API RP2A-WSD2000 or APR RP2A-LFRD97 and after an analysis has been run.
Click the Analyze menu > Run Analysis command to run an analysis of the model.
Click the Design menu > Steel Frame Design > Start Design/Check of Structure command to initiate the design process.
Click Design menu > Steel Frame Design > Start API Punching Load Check command to start the punching load check process. SAP2000 will display the check output on screen.
