CF - Interaction Surface for Section Form

Form: Interaction Surface for Section {Name} {Code}

Access the Interaction Surface for Section {Name} {Code} form as follows:

Select the Analyze menu > Run Analysis command to analyze the model.
Select the Design menu > Concrete Frame Design > Start Design / Check of Structure command.
Right click on a concrete column object while the design results are displayed on it to display the Concrete Column Design Information {Code}. If design results are not currently displayed, click the Design menu > Concrete Frame Design > Interactive Concrete Frame Design command and then right click a concrete column object.
On the Concrete Column Design Information form and in the "Table Showing Reinforcement Information" area, highlight the Combo ID and Station Location associated with the curve that is to be displayed.
Click the Interaction button and the curve will show the biaxial interaction surface at the highlighted Station Location for the highlighted concrete section.

Note: For this form to be displayed as described above, the model must include a frame object that has been defined as a column with the location and size of reinforcing bars also specified.

Use the various options and buttons on the Interaction Surface for Section {Name} {Code} form to modify the display of the curve:

Options area. Choose to display the curve considering phi, without considering phi or considering phi with fy increased.
3D View area.

Click the Plan and Elevation arrow buttons to rotate the Plan or Elevation 3-D view by the degrees shown in the display box.
Click the appropriate 3d, MM, PM3 or PM2 button to display the MM, PM3 or PM2 of the curve.

Curve and Angle buttons. Use the arrow buttons below the spreadsheet area to move selectively though 24 curves/angles of display.

Print the information using File menu > Print command at the top of the form.

Click the Done button to close the form and return to the Concrete Column Design Information form.
