Wave Wind Load Form

Access the Wave Wind Load form as follows:

Click the Define menu > Load Cases command.
Ensure that the Bridge Modeler license is enabled; display the Bridge Wizard; and then select the Analysis Cases item and click the Define/Show Loads button.

Specify a Wave Load Type and an Auto Lateral Load other than None and click the Add New Load button.
Highlight the name of the newly define load and click the Modify Lateral Load button to display the Wave Load form.
Click the Wind Load Add button or select a previously defined wave wind load definition from the drop-down list and click the Modify/Show button to display the Wave Wind Load form.

Wave wind loads act on the portion of the structure that is not submerged. By default a wave load is specified to have no wind load.

Wave Wind Name edit box. Use the default or specify a new name in this edit box.
Wind Direction Angle edit box. Specify the wind direction angle. The wind direction angle is input as an angle in degrees measured counterclockwise from the positive global X axis.
1-Hour Mean Wind Speed at 32.8 Ft edit box. Specify the one-hour mean wind speed at 32.8 feet (10 meters).
Averaging Time Period edit box. Specify the averaging time period. The averaging time period, t, is in the range 0 < t ≤ 3600 seconds.
Mass Density of Air edit box. Specify the mass density of air.
Typical Shape Coefficient edit box. Specify the typical shape coefficient. The typical shape coefficient applies to all objects in the model unless the wind load shape coefficient for that object has been overwritten in the wave overwrites.
