Response Spectrum NEHRP 97 Function Definition Form

Access the Response Spectrum NEHRP 97 Function Definition form as follows:

Click the Define menu > Functions > Response Spectrum command to display the Define Response Spectrum Functions form. Then do one of the following:

Select NEHRP97 Spectrum in the Choose Function Type to Add drop-down list and click the Add New Function button.
Highlight a previously defined NEHRP97 Spectrum response spectrum function definition and click the Modify/Show Spectrum button.

The following parameters are input for the 1997 NEHRP response spectrum function. Any positive, nonzero value can be input for these parameters.

SDS = The design earthquake spectral response acceleration at short periods as specified in 1997 NEHRP Equation 4.1.2.51.

SD1 = The design earthquake spectral response acceleration at a one second period as specified in 1997 NEHRP Equation 4.1.2.52.

The 1997 NEHRP response spectrum function is based on the procedure described in 1997 NEHRP Section 4.1.2.6.
