Vehicle Class Data Form

Access the Vehicle Class Data form as follows:

Method 1

  1. Define vehicles using the Define Vehicles form.

  2. Click the Define menu > Bridge Loads > Vehicle Classes command to display the Define Vehicle Classes form.

  3. Click the Add New Class button, or highlight a previously defined vehicle class and click the Modify/Show Class button, to display the Vehicle Class Data form.

Method 2

  1. With the Bridge Modeler license enabled, use the Bridge menu > Vehicles command to specify vehicle types.

  2. Click the Bridge menu > Vehicle Classes command to access the Define Vehicle Classes form.

  3. Click the Add New Class button, or highlight a previously defined vehicle class and click the Modify/Show Class button, to display the Vehicle Class Data form.

Method 3

  1. With the Bridge Modeler license enabled, access the Bridge Wizard using the File menu > New Model > Bridge Wizard command or click the Bridge menu > Bridge Wizard command.

  2. Select the Vehicle Definition item on the Bridge Wizard and click the Define/Show Vehicles button to access the Define Vehicles form and specify vehicle types; close that form and return to the Bridge Wizard.

  3. Click the Define/Show Vehicle Classes button on the Bridge Wizard to access the Define Vehicle Classes form.

  4. Click the Add New Class button, or highlight a previously defined vehicle class and click the Modify/Show Class button, to display the Vehicle Class Data form.

 

Vehicle classes are sets of one or more vehicles that can be assigned to act on lanes in a moving-load analysis case. Only one vehicle in a class acts on the lane at a time. Results are reported for the vehicle causing the most severe response.

    1. Highlight the item to be deleted in the Vehicle Name/Scale Factor display lists.

    2. Click the Delete button.
