Access the Define Bridge Section Data - AASHTO-PCI-ASBI Standard form, with the Bridge Modeler enabled, as follows:

 

Method 1:

  1. Click the Bridge menu > Bridge Deck Sections command, or on the Bridge Wizard select the Deck Sections item and click the Define/Show Sections button to display the Define Bridge Deck Sections form. Then do one of the following:

    • Click the Add New Section button to display the Select Bridge Deck Section Type form. Click the AASHTO-PCI-ASBI Standard button to display the Define Bridge Section Data - AASHTO-PCI-ASBI Standard form.

    • Highlight a previously defined AASHTO-PCI-ASBI Standard bridge deck definition and click the Add Copy of Section or Modify/Show Section button to display the Define Bridge Section Data - AASHTO-PCI-ASBI Standard form.

Method 2:

  1. Click the Bridge menu > Bridge Objects command, or on the Bridge Wizard select the Bridge Object Definition item and click the Define/Show Bridge Objects button, to display the Define Bridge Objects form. At least a layout line and a bridge deck section must be defined for this command to be available. This method assumes that the bridge model was initiated using an AASHTO-PCI-ASBI template, as described above.

  2. In the Bridge Objects area of the form, highlight a previously defined bridge object that includes a AASHTO-PCI-ASBI deck section. Click lick the Add Copy of Bridge Object or Modify/Show Bridge Object button, to display the Bridge Object Data form.

  3. Click the Modify/Show Spans button to display the Bridge Object Span Definition form.

  4. In the spreadsheet area, highlight the variation to be reviewed/changed and click the Modify/Show Section Variation Along Selected Span button to display the Bridge Section Variation Definition form.

  5. Click the Show Base Section button to display the Define Bridge Section Data - AASHTO-PCI-ASBI Standard form.

 

Use the Define Bridge Section Data - AASHTO-PCI-ASBI Standard  form to define a deck section parametrically.

Note:  If Section is Not Legal appears in red type, review the data in the Section Data spreadsheet area. Click the ? (question mark) to display a message box indicating the problem with the data.
