Form: Define Bridge Objects

The bridge object—the heart of the bridge modeler—is a series of definitions that together comprise the bridge model. Defining the bridge object defines the bridge spans; assigns the deck section properties to each span; assigns parametric deck section variations to each span; assigns abutment and bent properties and skews; assigns hinge locations, properties and skews; assigns diaphragms, assigns superelevations; and defines prestressed tendons.

With the Bridge Modeler license enabled, define at least a layout line and a bridge deck section.
Click the Bridge menu > Bridge Objects command, or on the Bridge Wizard form select the Bridge Object Definition item and click the Define/Show Bridge Objects button, to display the Define Bridge Objects form.
Use the following buttons on the form to complete the appropriate action:

Add New Bridge Object button. Click this button to display the Bridge Object Data form; use the form to add a new definition.
Add Copy of Bridge Object button.

Highlight the name of a previously defined bridge object definition.
Click the Add Copy of Bridge Object button to display the Bridge Object Data form. The form will be "pre-loaded" with the parameters specified for the definition selected in Step 1.
Make the necessary modification to the form, if any, to complete a new bridge object definition.

Modify/Show Bridge Object button.

Highlight the name of a previously defined bridge object definition.
Click the Modify/Show Bridge Object button to display the Bridge Object Data form.
Use the form to modify the definition without adding a new definition.

Delete Bridge Object button.

Highlight the name of a previously defined bridge object definition.
Click the Delete Bridge Object button to delete the definition.
