Bridge Object SuperElevation Definition Form

Access the Bridge Object SuperElevation Definition form, with the Bridge Modeler license enabled, as follows:

Click the Bridge menu > Bridge Objects command, or on the Bridge Wizard select the Bridge Object Definition item and click the Define/Show Bridge Objects button, to display the Define Bridge Objects form. At least a layout line and a bridge deck section must be defined for this command to be available.
Click the Add New Bridge Object button, or highlight a previously defined bridge object in the Bridge Objects area of the form and click the Add Copy of Bridge Object or Modify/Show Bridge Object button, to display the Bridge Object Data form.
Click the Modify/Show SuperElevation button to display the Bridge Object SuperElevation Definition form.

Use the Bridge Object Superelevation Definition form to specify the superelevation for the selected layout line.

Bridge Object Name display box. This name identifies the bridge object to which the superelevation applies.
Select a Bridge Layout Line drop-down list. Choose from the drop-down list the layout line for which the superelevation is being defined.
Units drop-down list. Use the displayed units or select new units from the drop-down list.
SuperElevation Option for Selected Layout Line. Choose a constant superelevation or specify a user-defined elevation.

Constant option. When this option is selected, use the Percent edit box to specify the amount of superelevation to be applied along the length of the bridge.
User Definition option. When this option is selected, the User Defined SuperElevation Data for Selected Layout Line area of the form becomes active. Use the Station edit box to specify locations along the length of the bridge where the superelevation is to be defined. The Stations/locations are measured from the left edge of the bridge in the units displayed in the Units drop-down list. Use the SuperElevation Percent edit box to specify the amount of superelevation to be applied at a given station. The superelevation varies linearly between the specified stations.

Add button. With the appropriate data entered into the Station and the SuperElevation Percent edit boxes, click the Add button to add the superelevation definition. The new definition will appear in the User Defined SuperElevation Data for Selected Layout Line display area.
Modify button. Highlight a previously defined definition in the User Defined SuperElevation Data for Selected Layout Line display area. Note that the highlight data appears in the Station and SuperElevation Percent edit boxes above the display area. Type the revised data into the edit boxes and click the Modify button to modify the superelevation definition.
Delete button. Highlight a previously defined definition in the User Defined SuperElevation Data for Selected Layout Line display area and click the Delete button to delete the definition.
