Form: Point Assigns Paste Options, Line Assigns Paste Options, Area Assigns Paste Options, Solid Assigns Paste Options, Link Assigns Paste Options, Select Load Patterns
Use the Assign menu > Copy Assigns command to copy assignments from one object and then the Assign menu > Paste Assigns > {Object} command to paste them to another object(s) of the same type (i.e., point to point, line to line, area to area, solid to solid, link to link):
Select the object from which to copy the assignments. Review assignments by selecting the point, line, area, solid, or link object and right clicking the mouse button (see Point Information Form, Line Information Form, Area Information Form, Solid Information Form, Link Information Form for more details about assignments).
Important Note: Select only one object! If you select more than one object, SAP2000 will pick one of them from which to copy assignments.
Click the Assign menu > Copy Assigns command.
Select one or more objects to which the assignments are to be pasted.
Click the
Assign menu > Paste Assigns > Joints
Assign menu > Paste Assigns > Frame/Cable/Tendon
Assign menu > Paste Assigns > Area
Assign menu > Paste Assigns > Solid or
Assign menu > Paste Assigns > Link command, which accesses
a form specific to the type of object (Point Assigns
Paste Options, Frame Assigns Paste Options,
Area Assigns Paste Options, Solid Assigns Paste Options,
Link Assigns Paste Options forms).
In the form, select
the type(s) of assignment(s) to be pasted by clicking the associated checkbox.
Choose the load case(s) for which loads will be pasted by clicking
the Select Load Patterns button; the Select
Load Cases form appears. The default is for all loads listed on
the form to be selected. If you do not want to paste loads associated
with a particular load case, click that load name in the list to deselect
it.
Click the OK button.
Note: Paste assignments always replace any assignments of the same type that may have existed for the object. They are not additive.
