Access the Line Information form by moving the cursor onto the object as if to select it, and then clicking the right mouse button rather than the left mouse button.
Label - Identifies the name of the selected object. See the Change Labels topic for more information about labelling within SAP2000.
Design Procedure - Identifies the design procedure for the selected line object. See the Define Materials topic for more information about design parameters in SAP2000.
Length Identifies the length of the selected line object.
Line Object Type Identifies the type of line object.
Start Joint (I) Identifies the starting point of the line object.
Coordinate System. Identifies the coordinate system for locating the line object.
X Identifies the X coordinate of the starting point of the selected line object.
Y Identifies the Y coordinate of the starting point of the selected line object.
Z Identifies the Z coordinate of the line object.
End Joint (J) Identifies the ending point of the line object.
Coordinate System. Identifies the coordinate system for locating the line object.
X Identifies the X coordinate of the ending point of the selected line object.
Y Identifies the Y coordinate of the ending point of the selected line object.
Z Identifies the Z coordinate of the line object.
Update Display button. Use this button to update the active window with the most recent change made to the selected object.
Modify Display button. Use this button to access the Show Frame/Cable/Tendon Assignments form, which lists the various specifications or assignments made to the selected object. Use the form to select which specification or assignment is to be displayed in the active window, regardless of the sequence of the changes.
If the line object has been drawn as a cable or curved frame, the Line Information form will include a Show Layout button. Click that button to display the Cable Geometry form or the Curved Frame Geometry form, depending on the type of line object. Use the form to review the alignment of the line object, and if necessary, modify the alignment or, if applicable, change a curved frame to a straight frame.
