Choose Tables For {Editing, Display, Printing, Export} Form

Various commands can be used to access the Choose Tables For {Editing, Display, Printing, Export} form. The name of the form reflects the command used to access it.  

  • Use the Edit menu > Interactive Database Editing command to access the Choose Tables for Interactive Editing form.

  • Use the Display menu > Show Tables command or the Select menu > Select Using Tables command to access the Choose Tables for Display form.

  • Use the File menu > Print Tables command to access the Choose Tables for Printing form.

  • Use the File menu > Export > SAP2000 MS Access Database .mdb File command to access the Choose Tables for Export to Access form.

  • Use the File menu > Export > SAP2000 MS Excel Spreadsheet .xls File command to access the Choose Tables for Export to Excel form.

  • Use the File menu > Export > SAP2000 .s2K Text File command to access the Choose Tables for Export to Text File form.

  • Use the File menu > Custom Report Writer command to display the Create Custom Report form; select the database and set the other options on the form and then click the Create New DB File button to display the Choose Tables for Export to Access form.

  • Use the Define menu > Named Sets > Tables command to access the Define Database Table Named Sets form, which is essentially this form with a different name.

  • Use the File menu > Add Tables command on the Database Table form to access the Choose Tables for Display form.

 

Use the Choose Data Tables form to select the types of model data to be edited interactively, displayed, printed or exported. Note that when the form has the name  Define Database Table Named Sets (see 8th bullet above), the selections are saved as a Named Set; the Named Set then can be recalled easily and applied to generate output without making the selections again.

When the Select menu > Select Using Tables command is used to access the Choose Tables for Display form, the objects associated with the data specified using the following options are selected in the active window. One of the other commands should be used to access the form if the data is to be printed, edited, displayed, or exported.

The options available on the form depend on the command used to access the form.

The Choose Data Tables form also has the following Edit menu commands. Note that some of these command duplicate the actions of some of the buttons on the form.

      Generalized Displacements

Displays the Select Gen Displs form. Use the form to select the generalized displacement to be included in the display, print or export.

      Section Cut Forces

Displays the Select Section Cuts form. Use the form to select the section cut forces to be included in the display, print or export.

      Element Virtual Work Named Set

Displays the Select Virtual Work Sets form. Use the form to select the virtual work named set to be included in the display, print or export.

      Nonlinear Static Curves Named Set

Displays the Select NL Static Sets form. Use the form to select the nonlinear static curve named set to be included in the display, print or export.

      Pushover Named Sets

Displays the Select Pushover Sets form. Use that form to select the pushover named sets to be included in the editing, display, print, or export.

      Joint Response Spectra Named Set

Displays the Select Response Spectra Sets form. Use the form to select the joint response spectra named set to be included in the display, print or export.

      Plot Function Traces Named Set

Displays the Select Plot Function Trace Sets form. Use the form to select the plot function traces named set to be included in the display, print or export.

Select Load Cases

Displays the Select Load Cases form. Use the form to select the load case(s) to be included in the display, print or export.

Select Analysis Cases

Displays the Select Output Cases form. Use the form to select the analysis case(s) to be included in the display, print or export.

Save Named Set

Displays the Database Tables Named Set form. Use the form to save the setting for reuse.

Show Named Set

Displays the Select Database Tables Names Set form. Use the form to apply a previously saved named set.

Set Table Formats File

Displays the Set Db Table Formats File form. Use the form to specify that the default format setting be used, or to select a previously defined .fmt (format) file. Format files can be created using the Save Format button on the Create Custom Report form, or the Save Table Format to File button on the Modify/Show Database Table Format form.
