a view. After you have clicked the menu command or toolbar button, click
and hold down the left mouse button in the view and drag the mouse (while
still holding down the left mouse button) to pan the view.The View menu > Pan command allows you to move a view within the window such that you can see beyond the original edges of the view. The distance you can move beyond the original edge of the view is controlled by the Pan Margin item that is set in the preferences. The Options menu > Preferences command gives you access to the Pan Margin preference item.
