This opens the online manual copied to your hard drive during the standard installation process.
Use this command to call up the CINEMA 4D help files (they are automatically installed in the course of a standard installation).
Installing CINEMA 4D in languages other than English
Additional languages come in the form of small, individual “.lang4d” files and can be installed directly from CINEMA 4D itself. This is how it works:
1. Locate the language you want to install. The files can be found either on your CINEMA 4D installations CD/DVD (in the “Languages” directory) or online at www.maxon.net (download pages).
2. Start CINEMA 4D (will still be in English).
3. Select “Help / Install Language” in the main menu.
4. Select the language you want to install from the window that opens (language files can be installed directly from the CD).
5. Click on “Open”. The installation status will be displayed on the status bar at the bottom of your CINEMA 4D interface.
6. After the installation is complete, quit CINEMA 4D and restart the application. CINEMA 4D will open in the language you just installed.
Note:
Make sure only sound files are used that work with the application version you are using. If in doubt, compare your CINEMA 4D version to the language file you want to install. The CINEMA 4D version number can be found in the “Help” menu under “Info”. The language version number is integrated into the file name, e.g. GERMAN_9.601_2060410_093933.lang4d”.
The naming convention works as follows: “name of language_version number_date_time.lang4d”. Hence, the example above reflects a German language file, clearly for use with version 9.601. The file name also lets you see if you’re using the most current language file. If you have several language files of the same language, simply compare their dates of creation (if necessary, the time of day). In the aforementioned example, the file was created on April 4, 2006 at 9:39:33 a.m.
This opens the Registration dialog so you can enter the final serial number of CINEMA 4D and/or one or more of the CINEMA 4D modules. You’ll receive your final serial number(s) once you have registered your purchase with MAXON Computer or your local MAXON distributor. You can register by completing the registration card that was included with your MAXON software, or you can register online at register.maxon.net.
This opens the same info screen that appears while the program loads. Use this screen to check the version number of CINEMA 4D — please quote this when contacting our Technical Support department. To close the window, click on it.
