Main selection tools
The following four tools offer various types of selection possibilities for selecting objects, points, edges and polygons.
In addition to the common methods of selecting objects in the viewport, the Live Selection or Rectangle Selection tool can be used to make selections (OpenGL must be active) by simply clicking on a given object’s splines or other lines contained by that object (for light sources, click on one of the lines that make up the light’s cone).
