These functions are divided into two categories:

Basic Functions

New Extrude, Add Extrude

Create a new solid or add to an existing solid by extruding (pulling) a 2D sketch in a given direction.

Remove Extrude

Remove material from an existing solid by extruding a 2D sketch in a given direction.

New Revolve, Add Revolve

Create a new solid or add to an existing solid by revolving a 2D sketch about an axis.

Remove Revolve

Remove material from an existing solid by revolving a 2D sketch in a given direction.

Add Drive, New Drive

Create a new solid or add to an existing solid by driving a 2D sketch along a spine.

Remove Drive

Remove material from an existing solid by driving a 2D sketch along a spine.

Notes for basic solid functions:

  • Objects created by New will be considered independent objects.

  • Those created by Add will be added to the current active object. (If only one object exists in the document it is automatically active unless manually deactivated.) See Activate / Deactivate and Activating Objects.

Detail Functions

Round

Create round edges from sharp corners. The rounding radius can be constant or variable.

Round Face  / Face - Face

Create round faces or surfaces between two groups of faces.

Remove & Extend

Remove faces by extending adjacent faces to fill the gap.

 

 

Chamfer

 Create a chamfer (a 90 degree bevel) along a solid edge or edges.

Taper

 Rotate faces about existing curves or edges.

Scale

 Apply mold sto one or more open or closed objects.

Hole

Create holes in solid objects.

Shell

 Hollow out a solid or open object.

Divide by Object

Divide one or more open or closed objects (also faces) by using face(s), a plane, or object(s) as a dividing tool.

Divide by Contour

Divide one or more open or closed solid objects (also faces) by using a contour as a dividing tool.

Merge

 Merge separate objects into one object.

Cut

Cut (trim) one or more open or closed objects (also faces) by using face(s), a plane, or object(s) as a cutting tool.
