When Import from Part is selected, the Cimatron E Explorer is displayed.
From the Cimatron E Explorer, select the part to be imported.
The model is displayed in the graphics area and can be repositioned and rotated as required.

Select the required option based on where the part will be positioned, as follows:
Using Active UCS: The part will be placed on the active UCS.
Using Model UCS: The part will be placed on the active UCS.
Select UCS: Select the UCS on which to place the part.

Select the required option based on the point or axis where the part will be positioned, as follows:
Pivot Point: The part will be placed on the pivot point.
XYZ Delta: Define the XYZ delta values for the part location.
Along Vector: The part will be placed along the vector. Enter the vector value.
None: Click this option to define no values.

Set the rotation parameters by entering the XYZ values on the relevant fields.
When you have set the parameters,
press OK

in the Feature
Guide to complete the function.
An ImportModel feature is displayed in the Feature Tree. This is the feature that you have just imported.
Notes:
You can import more than one part to a model document.
The location and orientation of the imported part will be set according to that of the source part.
All sets in the source document will be imported into the client document. Sets already existing in the client document are not overwritten by imported sets.
Imported sets are unassociated with the source document
Editing the imported part
Right-click on the ImportModel name in the Feature Tree to display the popup menu.
Select the appropriate Edit option to edit the imported part.

Source Document Name
To display the name of the source document from which the ImportModel feature was imported, select Source Document Name.

The following dialog is displayed showing the source document name:

An imported part can be disassociated from the source document (the link is broken). All changes performed on the part in the source document will not be reflected in the imported part. To disassociate a part, right-click on the ImportModel branch in the Feature Tree and select Disassociate from the popup menu.
