Define Active Parts: Assigning to New Active Parts

Create Active Parts from the results of a Split operation.

This specific operation involves automatically creating new Active Parts and assigning each Location (if multiple Locations were selected) to a new Active Part.

To automatically assign each Location a new Active Part:

 

  1. From the Parting Tree, select an unassigned Split containing multiple Locations or select multiple unassigned Locations.

  2. Press the Assign to New Active Parts button .

 

Note that for each operation only the relevant buttons are displayed, in this case - Assign to New Active Parts.

 

 

Each Location is now assigned to a newly created Active Part.

  1. Press the appropriate approval option.

Note: Assigned items are denoted by gray icons .

In this example:

Each of the Locations UCS12_2 and UCS12_4 are assigned to a new Active Part.
