Define the Active Parts from the results of a Split operation. This process involves assigning Splits and Locations to active parts.
Note: This is the first of a two part process of converting the results of a Split operation into the Assembly tree. The second part consists of assigning the created active parts to assemblies.

Notes:
By default, two Active Parts are created - Core and Cavity.
New Active Parts can be created and existing Active Parts can be renamed.
The end result of this operation is that all the Splits and Locations have been assigned to active parts, and may look something like this:
All items in the Parting Tree can be identified in the display by clicking the appropriate item. Some examples of this are shown below, such as identifying:
Once Splits / Locations have been assigned to active parts, this functionality
is also available from the Active Parts tree. In addition, assigned items
can also be identified between the trees; for example, a Location in the
Active Parts tree can be identified by selecting the appropriate Location
in the Parting Tree, and vice versa. Identified items in trees are denoted
by gray icons and names
displayed in red.

However, not all names displayed in red are necessarily items identified
between trees; items that were previously
assigned, but are now unassigned,
are also displayed in red in the
Parting Tree, however their icons are not
gray.

The Assign/Unassign, etc. buttons are displayed only when a legal operation
can be carried out. For each operation only the relevant buttons are displayed.

Having completed the assignments, select the appropriate approval option:

Save the results of the Active Parts assigned to Assemblies and close the dialog. |

Close the dialog without saving. All information entered in the current session will be lost. A warning message is displayed. |
