Reconnect documents where their connection has been broken. Documents can get disconnected if a server document (e.g. sub-assembly) changes its name or is moved and a client document (e.g. assembly) cannot find it automatically.

The Reconnect function can also be used to exchange documents within the Client / Server relationship.

While loading a client document, the Reconnect Document dialog is launched automatically in the following cases:

Loading an Assembly document, if one of the parts or sub-assemblies changed its name (path);
Loading an import Part document, if their server parts changed their name (path);
Loading a Drafting or NC document, if it has server documents (parts or assemblies) and one of them changed its name (path).

In the above cases, the Connection Status warning dialog is first displayed:

The above example warns you of 3 disconnect problems (while trying to load the assembly document Assembly cut 3.elt) and gives you the following options:

Reconnect Now	Launch the Reconnect Document dialog to repair connections before opening the document.
Continue	Open the document with the broken connections. These connections can be repaired later by manually invoking the Reconnect Document dialog from the Cimatron E Explorer (right-click the opened document and select the Reconnect option from the submenu).
Cancel	Don't open the document.

The following options are available from this dialog:

Reconnect

Reconnect a disconnected document. Select the appropriate document in the Cimatron E Explorer.
The Reconnected documents are shown with the icon:

	for reconnected assemblies
	for reconnected parts
	for reconnected catalogs

Reapply

Search the Reapply paths to find the disconnected document and reapply the connection.
These Reapply paths are displayed at the bottom left of the dialog after a Reconnect operation and consist of the paths used for the Reconnect operation.
The Reconnected documents are shown with the Reconnect icons, detailed above.

Detach

Detach a disconnected document from the client.
Detached documents are shown with the icon:

	for detached assemblies
	for detached parts
	for detached catalogs

Detach All Disconnected Catalogs

Detach all the disconnected catalogs from the client.
Detached documents are shown with the icon:
The Detached documents are shown with the Detached icons, detailed above.

The following approval options are displayed:

Save & Open	Save the operations performed using the above buttons and open the document.
Cancel	Don't open the document and exit.
