The General Preferences dialog is displayed.

Interaction

  1. Set the required general NC preferences.

Always Disassociate Model

While loading the NC file, disassociate the CAD model from the NC part. This means that changes to the model that are done in CAD mode will not affect the NC part.

Auto Update from Cutters & Holders

When the procedure cutter is replaced, the system uses the Motion and Machine parameters in the Cutter dialog to automatically update the Motion and/or Machine parameters values in an open NC procedure.

If this parameter is not checked, the Motion and/or Machine parameters in an NC procedure can also be updated manually.

Problematic Faces - Apply Special Approximation

When a damaged face is encountered upon which regular approximation cannot be applied, a special approximation is carried out. This option is checked On, by default.

Activate Optimized Memory Usage

Enable control of a set of operations during a procedure execution in order to reduce cases of execution aborts (the execution ends with an I flag and no toolpath) that are related to excessive memory usage.

These operations are:

  • The toolpath display is not refreshed.

  • If the execution is interrupted, the following dialog is displayed with the options to Continue / Stop calculation and without the option to maneuver the display during interrupt stage.

Note: Running these operations (in Auto or Yes mode), may increase the length of the execution time.

The available options are:

Auto

In the event of memory related problems, the system tries to reduce memory consumption. If it fails, the procedure execution restarts automatically and runs the operations listed above.

Yes

Always apply these operations.

No

Do not apply these operations.

  1. Press the appropriate approval option.
