To use Cimatron E you will require a license file which will be sent to you by your Cimatron Provider.

To receive the license file, you first have to run the Get ID utility. This utility creates a text file that should be sent to your Cimatron Provider. In return, you will receive your license file.

The text file created by Get ID and sent to your local Cimatron Provider consists of the following information (the data in bold is for example purposes only):

Company=Acme
User name=John Doe
Hasp ID=1234567899
Old hasp ID=123a
Hasp type=TH3
HOSTNAME=pc-xxx-n4
USER=johnd
INTERNET=123.45.678.99
Ethernet Address=123456789b42
DISK_SERIAL_NUM=1234567

The data in bold is generated by the GetIDs program on the installation CD.

This information is not generated until you run the GetID program.

Interaction:

  1. Run Get ID. The following dialog is displayed:

  1. If the Hasp ID field is empty, make sure the HASP is properly plugged in. On machines with no prior Cimatron installation, either invoke the Hasp Installation option from the installation menu or install Cimatron E. Then rerun the GetIDs program.

  2. Enter the required information and press the Execute button.

  3. The text file is created.

If the correct email address is entered and your email program is running, the text file is created and sent to your local Cimatron provider.

If an incorrect email address is entered or your email is not running, you are notified that your mail has not been delivered and you will be prompted to save the text file to your hard disk. Save the file and email it, at a later time, to your local Cimatron Provider.

  1. In return, you will receive your license file.

Important: For additional information on licensing, please contact your Cimatron Provider.
