Copying/Moving Documents/Folders

Using the Cimatron E Explorer, documents/folders can be copied or moved to another folder.

Note: Documents can also be copied to the same folder; in this case the file name is prefixed with Copy of.... If multiple copies of a document are copied to the same folder, the file name is prefixed with, Copy of..., Copy (2) of .., etc..

You can move or copy documents/folders either by using the Cimatron E Explorer icons, submenu or by dragging.

 

Copying/Moving using the Cimatron E Explorer icons

  1. Within the Cimatron E Explorer, select the document(s), folder(s) or file shortcuts you want to copy or move.

  2. Do one of the following:

  1. Open the folder where you want to copy or move the item.

  2. Press the Paste icon .

 

Copying/Moving using the Submenu

  1. Within the Cimatron E Explorer, select the document(s), folder(s) or file shortcuts you want to copy or move.

  2. Do one of the following:

  1. Open the folder where you want to copy or move the item.

  2. Select Paste from the submenu.

 

Copying/Moving by Dragging

  1. Within the Cimatron E Explorer, select the document(s) or folder(s) you want to copy or move.

  2. Do one of the following:

        Move symbol:
