You can set colors for faces, objects, and curves by using the color icon on the attributes toolbar.
Select the entities whose color you want to change (using the cursor tool to select the entities you want).

Other ways to set colors:
Using
the color dropper icon
to select a color from another object:
Press the icon.
Pick
an entity whose color you wish to use and exit.
The color icon
switches to the entity color.
Change the color of other entities using the color icon as described above.
In the Part application, you can set default colors in the Preferences. Select Tools / Preferences from the main menu, and open the Part section.
Under Color, there are two categories. In Active Object you can set the color for active objects. In Geometry you can set the default colors for curves and objects.
In all applications, you can use the General section of Preferences to set the background color.
Note: When working in NC, do not confuse entity color with procedure color (color of cutter motions). The procedure color icon is located on the NC toolbar.
