Note: The Cutter Library is defined in the GeneralNC Preferences. If you want to import cutters that are not in the library but exist in another NC document, use Import Cutter.

To open the library, press the Cutter Library button on the Cutters and Holders dialog.

The library contains several ball, flat, and bull nose tools.

All library cutters are listed in the Available cutters list. Cutters that you select for import will appear in the Selected cutters list. You can move cutters between the lists by double-clicking or dragging, or by pressing the arrow icons. (Single arrows move the selected items, double arrows move all items.)

Use the Shift or Ctrl key for multiple selection.

To show the list of cutters that have already been defined in the current file, press the Show existing cutters button. To see the geometry parameters for any cutter, in any cutter list, select the cutter and its parameters are displayed in the dialog. This does not work if multiple cutters are selected.

Important! If there is a naming conflict (if a cutter in the Selected list has the same name as an existing cutter), when you press OK or Apply you will receive a dialog in which new cutter names are automatically assigned. If desired, these names can be changed in this dialog, or when you return to the Cutters and Holders Dialog.

Once you have resolved any naming conflicts and press OK or Apply, and the imported cutters will appear in the Cutters and Holders dialog.
