Define a cutter holder.
In the dialog below, the parameters within the red boxed area can receive expressions such as 7/8, 5/25.4. Relations to other parameters (such as tldi/2) cannot be defined.

In milling operations, the cutter holder may sometimes gouge the material. To avoid gouging, one or more cutter holders may be defined for each cutter. If gouging is detected with the current holder, a different holder can be used instead.
To define the Holder Parameters:
Mark the Use Holder box in the Cutters & Holders dialog.
Open the Holder tab. When you open the Holder tab, the picture of the holder is displayed in the Cutters & Holders dialog. All the other tabs display the cutter.
Define the appropriate holder parameters.

When defining or editing a cutter, if the Use
Holder box is not checked, the Holder
tab is marked

In this section you can define a shank, spindle, and several holders. For each holder component, specify top and bottom diameter, cone height, and total height.
To add another holder, press the Add
button. To delete a holder, highlight the holder row and press the Delete button. Click Apply
to accept the holder definitions.
To return to the cutter
definition dialogs, open the Cutter
tab, or, if you are finished defining cutters, click OK
.
