Rough waterline cutting. Remove volume material from an enclosed region defined by part surfaces. Cutting is performed in vertical layers.

Spiral Cut is a suitable milling for a closed cavity parts with a shaped contour. The remaining stock will be uniform, which is a better start condition for the Finish procedure.

  1. For Technology, choose Volume Milling as the main selection, and Legacy Procedures / Spiral Cut - 3D as the subselection.

  2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

  3. Define the Geometry; the contours, part surfaces and part2 surfaces.

  4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

  6. When finished, you can choose from the following Procedure Options:
