Volume Milling - Legacy Procedures / Parallel Cut - 3D

Hints and tips for rough waterline cutting procedures

How to create this procedure: (see Creating a Procedure and Procedure Guide for general explanation.)

1. For Technology, choose Volume Milling as the main selection, and Legacy Procedures / Parallel Cut - 3D as the subselection.

2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

3. Define the Geometry; the contours, part surfaces and part2 surfaces.

4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

• Clearance

• Entry & End Points

• Boundary Settings

• Tolerance & Surf. Offset

• Tool Trajectory

• Machine Between Layers

• Stock & Holder Tracking

• Optimizer

• User Parameters

5. Define the Machine Parameters.

6. When finished, you can choose from the following Procedure Options:

• Save & Close to suspend

• Save & Calculate to execute

• Cancel

• Save As
