Volume Milling: Legacy Procedures

Stock Spiral: milling performed on only one side of the cutter when used on an open area.

- 3D Milling (Rough waterline cutting)

Parallel Cut: milling in which cutter passes are parallel when viewed from the Z direction.

- 3D Milling (Rough waterline cutting)

Spiral Cut: milling performed in spiral motions.

- 3D Milling (Rough waterline cutting)

Plunge Mill: Create plunging tool motions for the fast removal of high volumes of material. This procedure is an economical way of deep machining cores, cavities, high shoulder slots and straight or sloped walls.
This is a High Efficiency Cutting (HEC) procedure.

Zcut: Remove volume material from enclosed regions defined by a boundary contour and islands. The milling follows the surfaces

Zcut Parallel: Milling in which cutter passes are parallel when viewed from the Z direction. (Milling follows surfaces rather than cutting in Z layers.)

Zcut Radial: Milling performed by cutter motions that radiate from a user-defined origin. (Milling follows surfaces rather than cutting in Z layers.)
