When you create a stock or part procedure, you can save the results to a file. You can either save the files as *.stk or *.sla formats:
Stock (*.stk) files are an internal format, used within Cimatron E for Stock Creation by a File and Part Creation from a File.
External files (*.sla) are used for importing stock or part files into the Simulator and Verifier.
Saving stock and part files is done using the Remaining
Stock dialog. Select the desired stock or part, and click the Remaining Stock icon
.
You can also choose Remaining Stock
from the popup menu,
or select NC Utilities / Remaining Stock
from the main menu.
The lower section of the dialog is used for saving to a file:

Transparency: Move the slider to adjust the transparency of the stock display.
Save Stock As: Choose whether you want to save the stock as an *.sla file or stock (*.stk) file. These file types are explained above.
File Name: Assign a name for
the stock file, without including the extension. Choose the directory
where you want the file to be placed. After a filename is assigned, press
the Save icon
icon
to create the file.
Comment: If desired, you can add a comment to the stock file.
