Define a stock that surrounds all selected entities. The resultant stock is a rectangular box.
You can either pick a series of surfaces (faces) or the entire part. If you are picking surfaces, each surface picked will update the bounding box so that the box encompasses all faces.
Note:
the cursor appears as
when you are picking surfaces / faces.
Example of stock creation by bounding box
The following dialog is used for stock creation by bounding box:

Transparency: Move the slider to adjust the transparency of the stock display.
Auto Preview: this box must be checked in order to see the stock on the graphic display. If this box is not checked, the three display icons (color, shade and show) will be disabled.
Ref. Stock Size: Based on the entities you have selected, this area shows the size of the stock. The values are for reference only and cannot be changed in this dialog.
1st corner, 2nd corner: Based on the entities you have selected, this area shows the coordinates of the diagonal of the bounding box. The values are for reference only and cannot be changed in this dialog.
Global Offset: the stock will be offset from the part by this value, in all directions. The default value is zero.
At the bottom of the dialog, you can also enter the stock material, date of creation, and a comment.
When you are finished, press
