Once you have selected the motion blocks you want to edit, click the Cut icon. The Motions Editor dialog will have the following options:

Because motions are to be deleted, you must specify how the motions adjacent to the deleted blocks will be connected to each other:

  1. Use the Connect field to choose between the following options:

Connect through Clear: Connect the deleted motions by jumping to the Clearance Plane level.

Connect through Incremental Clear: Connect the deleted motions through the Incremental Clear level.

Connect Directly: Connect the deleted motions directly, at the Feed rate.

Connect along Contour: Connect the deleted motions along the contour.

  1. Edit the Procedure Defaults as needed for the motion connections.

  2. Select the type of Surface Approach & Retract.

Note: If you attempt to edit motions within a procedure that has a G status flag, a warning message is displayed and only the Z UP approach/retract option will be available.

Once the connection has been specified, you have the following options to proceed:

Cancel (close without saving)

Reset (cancel all selections and start over)

Calculate (calculate the new motions while the dialog remains open)

Calculate & Close (calculate the new motions and close the dialog)

After the new motions are calculated, the procedure will have a status flag.

Important: Manual editing changes will be lost if you edit or re-execute the procedure!
