(Manually editing cutter motions)

The motions of any previously calculated procedure can be edited using the Motions Editor.

The contents of the Motions Editor dialog depends on the type of the NC Procedure selected. The Tangent Approach option appears only if the procedure enables various types of surface approaches.

Notes: This section deals with manually editing cutter motions created by executed procedures.

There are basically two steps in manually editing cutter motions:

  1. Select the motion blocks you want to edit

- Single: Select individual blocks
- Chain: Select the first and last blocks of the chain, all blocks connected the two will be selected.
- Vertical: Select one block, and all blocks in the same vertical layer will be selected.
- Contour: Select a closed contour and exit.
- All: All blocks will be selected.

  1. Choose how you want to edit the selected blocks.

- Cut
- Move vertically by delta
- Project onto a Z plane

Once these steps are complete, you have the following options to proceed:

Cancel (close without saving)

Reset (cancel all selections and start over)

Apply (calculate the new motions while the dialog remains open)

OK (calculate the new motions and close the dialog)

After the new motions are calculated, the procedure will have a status flag.

Important: Manual editing changes will be lost if you edit or re-execute the procedure!

Manually edited procedures can also be executed externally.
