There are two ways of working within NC, in the Wizard mode and in Advanced mode (Wizard mode is the default). Press the Access button at the top of this Help topic to see how to switch between the modes.
What are the Differences between Wizard and Advanced Modes?
The difference is what you see in front of you on the NC Display. In terms of functions, options, and parameters, both modes are the same. The NC Guide and Procedure Guide are displayed in both modes.
Wizard
Mode ![]()
The amount of free space in the graphic display is maximized.
The Process Manager is the only open dialog open, and when you create or edit a procedure it is closed.
When creating
or editing
a procedure, each parameter
table (Geometry,
Motion Parameters
or Machine
Parameters - [Cutter and
Holders have a different parameter dialog]) is opened separately by
clicking the appropriate
button on the wizard
. Only one table or dialog remains
open at a time.
For additional information on the dialogs, see the Procedure
Options.

Advanced Mode ![]()

When creating or editing a procedure, each parameter table is available for editing, there is no need to open and close individual tables.
