The NC Guide Dialog, located by default on the left side of the NC Display, provides you with all logical steps of the NC process, from start to finish.
Note: When you are creating or editing a procedure, the NC Guide is replaced with the Procedure Guide.
How to scroll and hide this dialog
At any time during your work, only the relevant step icons will be enabled. For example, if you have not created a toolpath, the icons for Stock, Part, and Create Procedure will be unavailable.
The NC Guide steps are organized as follows:
Load Model: Load a part file into the NC application. |
Cutters: In this step you can define cutters to be used in your work. Cutters can also be defined within a specific procedure, using the icon on the Procedure Guide. |
New TP Folder (Create Toolpath): A toolpath is a sequence of one or more machining procedures, performed in a given set of milling axes. |
Part: Part is a procedure used to represent the end-product part. Part is used by the Verifier. |
Stock: Stock is a procedure used to represent the raw material from which the final part will be produced. Stock is used by the Simulator and Verifier, and also allows you to view remaining stock for any defined procedure. |
Create Procedure: A Procedure is a set of cutter movements that conform to a specific technology. Upon pressing this button, the Procedure Guide will appear. |
Execute: Toolpaths or procedures that have been satisfactorily defined can be executed and cutter motions will be calculated. |
Simulate: Activate the Simulator or Verifier. |
Post: The post processor creates machining G codes for executed procedures and toolpaths. |
Note: All operations are also accessible either through the main menu and / or NC toolbar icons.
