Access: Click the or icon, or select File / Import / From File or File / Export / To File from the main menu. The Import or export dialog is displayed. Select STEP Files from the Files of Type field.

The STEP initiative is an international effort to standardize the exchange of product design and manufacturing data. STEP is an acronym for Standard for Exchange of Product model data. Within the United States, it is also known as PDES (Product Data Exchange using STEP).
