Access: Select Catalog / Attach Name to Entity from the main menu.
With the exception of Objects, the interaction for attaching all entity types is identical. In the example below, a face is attached:
Toggle the Attach/Detach button to display Attach, and pick the face to be attached.
The Attach Name dialog is displayed. Select a name for the face or type in a different name.
Press OK to attach the name to the face.
The attached entity is displayed in red:
Toggle the Attach/Detach button to display Attach, and pick the object to be attached.
The Attach Name dialog is displayed. Select a name for the object.
Decide whether the object is a cutting object. If Cutting Object is not checked, the Cut Analysis section of the dialog is disabled.
If Cutting Object is checked:
Define how the Cut Analysis is to be performed (By Part or By Part & Cutting Object)
If there are several parting objects, use the arrows (next to the number) to change the cutting object number.
By Part
Cut all the parts in the active assembly which collide with the catalog part (in this case a screw).
By Part & Cutting Object
Cut all the parts in the active assembly which collide with the catalog part and the cutting object.
Press OK to attach the name to the object.
The attached object is displayed in red:
Toggle the Attach/Detach button to display Detach, pick the entity to be detached and exit.
Confirm that you want to detach the entity.
The entity is detached and changes color.
Pick an entity to name and attach the name to the catalog.
