Connect Component UCS

Position a component specific UCS (User Coordinate System) to another component specific UCS or to a face or plane.

UCS to UCS

Required Step 1

Select the two UCSs to be connected.

Required Step 2

Set the X, Y, Z offset parameters. Either click on the field and enter the new value, or use the arrows to increase or decrease the value.

Press the icon to preview the result.

Examples:

Press in the Feature Guide to preview the result.

If this is the final result, press OK or Apply in the Feature Guide to complete the function.

 

UCS to Face

Required Step 1

  1. Pick the UCS of the component to be connected.

  1. Pick the face to which to connect the component.

Required Step 2

Set the X, Y, Z offset parameters. Either click on the field and enter the new value, or use the arrows to increase or decrease the value.

UCS to Plane

Required Step 1

  1. Pick the UCS of the component to be connected.

  1. Pick the plane to which to connect the component.

Required Step 2

Set the X, Y, Z offset parameters. Either click on the field and enter the new value, or use the arrows to increase or decrease the value.

Optional Step 1

Set the coordinate system rotation parameters. This option is only available when positioning a component specific UCS (User Coordinate System) to another component specific UCS, or a face or plane.

 

Optional Step 2 :

Pick the UCS origin. This option is only available when positioning a component specific UCS (User Coordinate System) to another component specific UCS, or a face or plane.
