Connect Component - Distance

Position the selected components so that they are separated by a specified distance. If a cylinder is selected, the distance is measured to its axis.

Required Step 1

Select the component entities to be connected. If you select a second entity from the same component, your second selection will replace the first.

Valid inputs are curves, points and surfaces in any combination. For example:

Notes:

• A connect relation will not be created between two components of the same sub-assembly when the assembly is active.

• A connect relation will not be created if none of the selected components belongs to the active assembly.

Required Step 2

Set parameters. Press the Distance = field to enter the distance value. Press Flip--> to flip the distance direction.

Press in the Feature Guide to preview the result.

If this is the final result, press OK or Apply in the Feature Guide to complete the function.

Optional Step 1

Setting the coordinate system rotation parameters is only available when positioning a component specific UCS (User Coordinate System) to another component specific UCS.
