The following Assembly functions appear under the Assembly menu:
Add an existing component to the assembly.
Add a component from the Catalog to the assembly / sub-assembly.
Add a new Part or Assembly component to the assembly.
Delete a component from the assembly.
Suppress a component so that it appears in the Assembly Tree, but is not displayed in the graphics area and will not be involved in part/assembly operations and regeneration. The suppressed features/components will be removed from the memory so that total memory consumption will be reduced.
Unsuppress all suppressed items.
The Quick
Modification Tools enable you to modify entities in large assemblies,
easily and quickly. The following functions are available:
Add groups of components and place them on an array of pre-defined UCSs. The position of these components can then be edited.
Relocate components – parts and sub-assemblies in the assembly tree. Any combination of parts and/or sub-assemblies can be moved together to other sub-assemblies or to the main assembly. All relations, connections and assembly cut operations will be preserved at the new location.
Convert Instances (parts that exist more than once in the assembly) into independent parts or into another group of instances.
Connect selected components by defining constraints.
Move/Rotate enables you to move and/or rotate individual assembly / sub-assembly components in relation to one another.
Motion Simulation |
Create a Bill of Materials for the Assembly/MoldDesign application
Regenerate on all the components in the assembly.
Cut multiple objects with one object in a single operation.
Edit a component of an assembly. All modifications are made to the active component.
Open a component from the assembly into a separate window.
Select Activate Main Assembly after you have finished editing a part. This closes the Part environment and returns you to the Assembly environment. |
