Use the Automated Tuning pane to select a method for automatic tuning of your compensator design. Automated tuning methods help you design an initial compensator for a SISO loop that satisfies your design specifications.

You can choose among the following algorithms.

• Optimization-Based Tuning

• PID Tuning

• Internal Model Control (IMC) Tuning

• LQG Synthesis

• Loop Shaping

The pane reconfigures itself to show the appropriate options for the algorithm you choose.

Note   We recommend that you try different tuning specifications or switch to a different automated tuning method if a particular tuning method fails.
