Entering Information in the Listing Format Table
The Listing Format table allows you to specify the following information in a report:
· Main titles for sections of materials listed in the report
· The sequence in which materials are to be listed in the report
· That cost subtotals are to be added for the section of materials
· That materials are to be listed in the report by the floor level on which they are found
· That a page break is to be added in the printed report.
The Listing Format table contains four columns for information:
· Name
· Action
The information you add to these columns ensure that materials are listed in the correct order in the material list report.
Specifying Names in the Name Column
Use the Name column of the Listing Format table to group materials together in a section by entering:
· Titles for sections of materials listed in the report
· Subtitles that describe the materials that have been listed on the material list report for a range of sequence numbers.
Note:
The titles or subtitles you enter in the Name fields for a section of materials will appear on the material list report exactly as you typed them in the Listing Format table.
Specifying an Action in the Action Column
The Action field tells SoftList to perform a specific operation or action for the entry you have placed in the corresponding Name field. Illustration 1 shows you a list of the actions that SoftList can perform and their meanings. To specify an action, select the down arrow in the Action field beside the corresponding name. SoftList displays a menu of the different available actions. Select the action to perform from the menu. SoftList then displays the action you selected.

Specifying the From and To Sequence Number Fields
Sequence numbers specified for different materials allow you to control the order in which materials will appear on a material list report.
In the Listing Format table you may use these sequence numbers in the From Sequence and To Sequence fields to tell SoftList what materials to include in the report and in what order you want these materials placed.
Note:
· Print out copies of the Material Definition table for the Material Definition you wish to use when generating a report and the Library Pricing tables in order to have a list of the sequence numbers you have assigned to the materials in the definition and to the library symbols. Once printed, use these listings to help you enter the correct number in the sequence field.
When generating the material list report, SoftList will use the material name that corresponds to the sequence number you specified in the Material Definition table and in the Library Pricing tables for symbol, opening, speed note, electrical, post, cabinet, and shutter libraries.
