Selecting the Cutlist Report

SoftList can optimize the ordering of lumber by combining the various pieces of lumber used for different materials, and then calculating how best to cut these material pieces from the required lumber lengths. When calculating lumber in this way, SoftList, while generating the Material List report will also generate an associated Cutlist report. The cutlist report will show the number of lumber lengths required, and how to cut the material pieces from the lengths in order to ensure minimal waste. Illustration 1 shows a sample cutlist report.
