Select > Custom Region command makes a selection that is enclosed in the edges connected by user selected vertices. It is very useful for selecting / deselecting complex regions.

1.

Select Select > Custom Region in the menu or click the icon  in the toolbar.

Note

This command is enabled only in the mesh mode.

2.

Select Add option. Pick the poly-vertices to select the region.

You can click on the start point or use Close Path button to close the path.

4.

Click OK button.

·   Undo Path – Undo the last selected path.

·   Close Path – Closes the selected path. After selecting the required path, you can click Close Path to close the selected path.

Note

You can select in counter clock wise direction to select the inner region. Use clock wise direction to select the outer region.

·   Add – Selected region is added.

·   Remove – Selected region is removed.

·   Inverse – Selected region is inversed.
