Using this command, you can extrude a sketch to make it as a surface.

 

 

How to use Extrude command

1.

Click  button on the toolbar, or click Insert > Surface > Extrude.

 

2.

Select Base Sketch and Extrude Direction.

 

3.

Select the Method. Click OK.

 

 

Options in Detail

                    

·   Base Sketch – Select the sketch to extrude.

 

·   Profiles – Select loops to extrude.

·   Extrude Direction – Select a direction vector in the graphics area to extrude the sketch in a direction other than normal to sketch profile

 

·   Direction – Options to extrude the sketch in one direction.

     

 

Method – You can select a method to extrude.
a) Blind: Extends the feature from the sketch plane for a specified distance
.

             

b) Through All: Extends the feature from the sketch plane through all existing geometry.

 

c) Up To Vertex: Select a vertex in the graphics area for Vertex.

         

 

g) Mid Plane: Selected sketch plane become middle of extrusion.

    

·   Draft: You can set Draft On/Off. Adds draft to the extruded feature. Set the Draft Angle. Select Draft outward if necessary.

Note
You can use  to change the direction of draft.

 

·   Direction2 - Set these options to extrude in both directions from the sketch plane. The options are the same as Direction.
